Science Fact vs. Science Fiction

Most respondents in the survey were aware that a nuclear resonance laser that turns lead into gold is science fiction. Three in five believed incorrectly that a combat suit that can medically treat wounded soldiers on the battlefield was science fiction.

The public was mixed as to whether or not a flashlight-like device that can see through walls was science fact or science fiction. It's science fact.

Lastly, 42% believed that a flying vehicle that uses an anti-gravity shield to hover over one location was science fact - 50% correctly believed it to be science fiction. Eight percent said they did not know.
