Estimated Percentage of Fellow Students Who Have Changed or Seriously Considered Changing Career Plans Because of Recent Terrorist Attacks

Question 2

Just your best estimate - what percentage, if any, of your fellow students have changed or seriously considered changing their career plans because of recent terrorist attacks?

Nearly six in ten (58%) students know of at least one of their fellow students who are considering career change plans. Approximately four in ten (39%) do not think any of their fellow students are considering career change plans. On average, college students estimate that nearly one in every ten (9.2%) of their fellow students have seriously considered changing their career plans because of the recent terrorist attacks, ranging from 8.5% among students attending school in the Midwest to 10.2% in the South.

ANY FELLOW STUDENTS CONSIDERED CHANGING CAREER PLANS (n=1000)

ESTIMATED MEAN PERCENTAGE OF FELLOW STUDENTS WHO HAVE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED CAREER PLAN CHANGE (n-1000)
