Tarrytown, New York

Tarrytown is the home of Bayer HealthCare's corporate offices and headquarters of the Diagnostics division. Tarrytown's Making Science Make Sense program features a group of 20 employee-volunteers who work with students in the Tarrytown School District. Their efforts are part of the Westchester/Putnam Schools to Career Partnership. In addition, the Tarrytown site provides:

  • An annual $10,000 grant to the Women's Research and Education Fund which promotes women in higher education. One of the fund's scholarships is awarded to a graduating senior who will be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in science or engineering.

  • An annual college scholarship of $10,000 given to a graduating senior from Sleepy Hollow High School who excels in the sciences.
