Mark Trudeau is President and CEO, Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc., Bayer
HealthCare LLC USA. Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals is a $3 billion business focused
on serving patients in the areas of women’s health, hematology, neurology, oncology,
diagnostic imaging and cardiology/pulmonology. Mr. Trudeau is a member of the global
Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Management Team and served -- in addition to his
current role -- as interim President of the company’s Global Specialty Medicine
Business Unit from January to August during 2010. He also serves as the chairperson
of the Bayer Diversity Advisory Council and is lead Executive Sponsor for the Bayer
HealthCare U.S. Women’s Leadership Initiative.
Mr. Trudeau has over 25 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to joining Bayer in 2009, he headed the Immunoscience Division at Bristol-Myers
Squibb. During his 10+ year career at BMS, Mr. Trudeau held senior executive positions
in marketing and commercial operations, including serving as President of the Asia/Pacific
Region, President and General Manager, Canada, and General Manager/Managing Director,
UK.
Prior to joining BMS, Mr. Trudeau was with Abbott Laboratories for 10 years, serving
in a variety of marketing and leadership positions, including leading the company’s
Neuroscience and Immunoscience business units. Mr. Trudeau began his career in engineering
at Eli Lilly & Co and at E.I. Dupont De Nemours, Inc.
Mr. Trudeau serves on the Board of Directors of the Pharmaceutical Research and
Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and the Board of Trustees of HealthCare Institute
of N.J. He also served on the Board of Directors of the National Pharmaceutical
Council from 2008-2010.
A native of Michigan, Mr. Trudeau received his BS Chemical Engineering (1983) and
MBA (1986) degrees both from the University of Michigan.
