Senior Vice President, Head, Polyurethanes North America Marketing and Business Development
As Senior Vice President, Jerry MacCleary is responsible for the North American Polyurethanes marketing and business development activities of Bayer MaterialScience, which is a member of the worldwide Bayer Group, an international health care, nutrition and innovative materials group based in Leverkusen, Germany.
Prior to his current position, Mr. MacCleary was Head of Performance Systems in the Polymers Division of Bayer, where he was responsible for leading and implementing business strategies for various plastics, nylon and rubber products for the Automotive, Insulation, Injection Molding and Rubber industries.
Mr. MacCleary joined the Accounting Department of Bayer in 1979 and assumed positions of increasing responsibility within Accounting until 1982. He then entered the Plastics Division as a technical sales representative, after which he was promoted to Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, Director and Vice President of various business units within the Plastics Division of Bayer. He also spent time abroad with two international assignments in Germany.
Mr. MacCleary is a member of the boards of BayOne, a marketing joint venture company, The International Isocyanate Institute, and Alliance for the Polyurethanes Industry. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for BaySystems N.A. LLC. He also served as Bayer's United Way Chairman for two years.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from West Virginia University.
Mr. MacCleary is married, has three children, and resides in Venetia, Pa.
