Michele M. Johns

Director, Finance and Accounting Services

Michele M. Johns is Director, Finance and Accounting Services (FAS) within Bayer Business and Technology Services. In this area, Ms. Johns is responsible for providing tailor-made support for all issues of company accounting. The FAS services cover the entire value-added chain from consulting to system solution development and implementation, all the way down to application service. Her team is comprised of: Financial Systems Compliance, Accounts Payable Hub for USA and the Core Business Systems for Cash Management and Financial Accounting Systems. She is a member of the BBTS Leadership team, as well as the Enterprise Accounting Leadership team.

Ms. Johns began her career at Bayer in 1975 working for Mobay in General Accounting in Pittsburgh. She held positions of increasing responsibility in the Accounting organization, including the Cost Accounting and Financial Reporting areas. In 1999 she was promoted to Director, Financial Systems Development. Within this capacity, Ms. Johns led the functional integration planning and execution for financial systems activities related to numerous acquisitions and divestitures projects across all business segments. With the 2003 Bayer Corporation carveout, which created separate legal entities within the US, Ms. Johns assumed responsibility as Enterprise Accounting Business Partner for Bayer Corporate and Business Services and Bayer Corporation, in addition to her financial systems duties.

Ms. Johns earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting from Robert Morris University.
