Jim Stephanou

Prior to joining Bayer, Jim was employed by ARCO Chemical Company (now LyondellBasell Industries) from 1987 through 2000 in various engineering and manufacturing roles with increasing responsibility. These diverse assignments were spread in several locations including Philadelphia, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Rotterdam, the Netherlands; and Lake Charles, LA.

He joined Bayer MaterialScience in 2001, as Director West Virginia Maintenance and Engineering, based in New Martinsville, WV, before he was named Vice President, Production & Technology TDI - NAFTA, based in Baytown, TX, from 2002 to 2005. From 2006 through 2010 Jim served as Vice President, Propylene Oxide Global Asset Management for Bayer MaterialScience in Pittsburgh.

Jim is a graduate of Drexel University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was born in Athens, Greece and is married with two children. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Life´s Work and the United Way of Allegheny County both of which are committed to helping others in need.
