Proposal submission is done differently for each region. Please note the requirement for your region.
If you are submitting a proposal to our Southwest Pennsylvania region (not one of our other offices listed under Where to Apply), please follow this two-step submission process.
Step One:
Please submit a brief one-to-two page concept paper that includes the following:
- Submitters contact information, including email address
- Paragraph on organization requesting support
- Brief summary of the specific program/project/campaign that support is being asked for
- Purpose of the grant and amount being requested
Concept papers should not exceed two pages and should be submitted electronically via email to bayerusafoundation@bayer.com
Step Two:
After initial review, organizations with projects of interest will be contacted to submit a more comprehensive proposal for further review. At that time, a full proposal should include the following:
- A cover sheet that includes your organization's name, contact person, title, address, phone number and federal tax ID number.
- A one-page cover letter outlining the proposal, including the project/program name and the total amount being requested.
- In six pages or less, your written proposal should include the following information:
- Brief history and purpose of your organization, including the services it provides and the people and geographic areas it serves.
- The purpose of the grant, including the total amount over how many years.
- The benefits to the Bayer USA Foundation from this partnership.
- Brief plan for achieving your goals and how results will be measured.
- Total budget for the project.
Please attach the following to your proposal:
- A copy of your organization's letter from the IRS indicating its charitable 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
- A list of other funding sources for the particular project and/or organization for the past two years.
Your total submission should not exceed 12 pages.
Please DO NOT include books, binders, video or cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs, programs, brochures or other collateral materials. If needed, these materials will be requested by the Bayer Foundation.
