Demetri Nicholas Zervoudis

Demetri Zervoudis is Senior Vice President and Head of Global Production and Technology PET/PO, for Polyurethanes, Bayer MaterialScience LLC.

Mr. Zervoudis joined Bayer in 1983 as a Process Research Engineer in Bushy Park, S.C. He held various positions of increasing responsibility within the Research and Development group of the Dyes, Pigments & Organics organization.

After returning to Pittsburgh in 1987, Mr. Zervoudis moved to the Central Engineering Group where he held a number of positions with the Project Engineering Department working in various Bayer plants.

In 1992, he represented Engineering in the PU NAFTA Strategic Plan related to the PU expansion strategies. From this assignment, Mr. Zervoudis moved on to design and construct several plants, including MDA III and TDA II, which were part of the Baytown, Texas, Expansion Program. In 1999, he was named Vice President of Manufacturing, responsible for PU and Coating manufacturing in the New Martinsville plant. Following the BPO restructuring in 2002, Mr. Zervoudis was responsible for Global TDI Production and Technology.

Mr. Zervoudis holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and a master's in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
